Stipulations and Requirements for Mentors

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.

• Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check.

• Commitment: Minimum commitment of 6 months, with at least 4 hours of mentorship activities per month.

• Training: Completion of the initial mentor training program and ongoing professional development sessions.

• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• References: Provide at least two professional or personal references.

• Engagement: Actively participate in monthly mentor meetings and provide regular updates on mentee progress.

• Role Model: Demonstrate positive behavior and serve as a role model for youth.

• Attendance: Attend at least one Doing What We Dream community event per quarter.

• Support: Provide emotional, academic, and social support to mentees.
